Wavepaw is really sorry, he just doesn't want her to get angry or offended. That's why she left. We tracked Beechpaw down and stopped at the border of another Clan, then Wavepaw ran to follow her and I came here to tell you.

Before she continued, Birchpaw felt a shudder in her stomach as nervousness took over.

Beechpaw hasn't been tracked down yet, and there's one more thing I need to tell you. We were pretty much daring her to flirt with you, when she wasn't really the one to love you. I-I was.

Flaxpaw cringed. It was so complicated! Why? Did she-cats fall in love earlier than toms for some reason? He turned his eyes toward her, slowly and seriously. And then, quickly, he flicked them away again.

"Why would you love... me? I AM SUCH A COWARD..." He said the last words in deliberate rhythm, laden with spite toward himself. Then Flaxpaw crumbled. "Let's not talk... I mean about this. We have to do something, don't we? About Wavepaw and Beechpaw." He falt very sorry that he was mentioning her name. Birchpaw might think that he liked Beechpaw or something.
