Flowingstar looked on sadly. As soon as Cabbagemoon had gone into the nursery, she leapt up. She stalked up to Densefoot. "How could you do this to me?" she hissed. "If you have to go, then fine. I don't want a Clan that hates me. But don't try to steal loyal warriros from their home. Even though you loathe me for some reason, that won't accomplish anything. I simply don't se why you think I deserve such disrespect!"

Pixipelt heard Flowinstars words and jumped to her side alarm in her eyes. She fiercley licked Flowingstar round the ear a few times. She gave Flowingstar a glance Flowingstars eyes seemed to be full with determination. Pixipelt shot Densefoot a warning glance.

Densefoot retorted, ignoring Pixipelt's glance, I'm not trying to steal him. He's my mate; is he more loyal to the Clan or me? It appears me. The only reason I'm leaving is because you left right before my warrior ceremony. How do you think I felt? Having another Clan's leader come and say 'Oh, it looks like your leader isn't here so I'll make you a warrior' and then giving me a name that doesn't fit? Then returning right after my kits were born? Ponder that and think again, maybe apologize, and then I might stay with my family. But until then, you don't have a chance.

Pixipelt dug her head int the leaders fur and then flucked her tail. She wished Jasparstar had not set foot on their teritory.

"There was nothing I could do," said Flowingstar desparately. "Even if I had stayed, would it have been any better for you?" She felt herself fighting laughter for a moment as a thought occurred to her. "I probably would have named you 'Denseblood' or something sappy and depressed like 'Densebetrayel'." It wasn't that funny, but Flowingstar was in a weird, desparate sort of mood.

Densefoot's eyes turned to hard slits. I wouldn't be here if you had actually been loyal to me! Prove to me that you would have done whatever you could have done to be here and then perhaps I will forgive you.

Pixipelt hesitated and glanced at Densefoot to not listen Then on her tiptoes reached into Flowingstars ear "Re name her something really nice lke Densedream?" She mewed so the Densefoot could not hear.

Slowly, suddenly, a kit crashed into Densefoot's back. She whirled around and whispered, Faithkit, what are you doing out of bed? Paying her mother no attention, Faithkit sprinted to right in front of Flowingstar. Another kit thundered after her, bowling her over. Sunrisekit? Both kits were staring at their leader with wide eyes. Will you be our mentor? They both said, at precisely the same time.

"I'm not going to grovel in order to earn your forgiveness, Densefoot," said Flowingstar. "I trust you have already realized that I have not, in fact, done everything that i could possibly have done in order to stay with my Clan. It seems that you just want me to admit it in order to have another excuse to disown yourself from me and therefore leave the Clan."
"Kits," she continued. "I shall be honest. I don't know if this will be your home much longer." She glanced apprehensively at Densefoot. Truth be told, Flowingstar had little experience at negotiating with kits. "And even if your family stays, here, I can't promise to mentor you three. I'm sure your mother would have something to say about that." Again, she looked at Densefooet. "I am very glad that you asked me, though. So kind of you."

Of course, a traitor. Densefoot mocked, looking at her kits. Suddenly a rock seemed to fly out of nowhere(actually, Frisken had kicked it)and hit her on the back of her head. Shaking it off, Densefoot seemed lost of words. Frisken was smiling behind her back, knowing it had worked. Flowingstar, I-I'm sorry. I don't know what came over me. But I may still leave. I'll let you mentor Faithkit, but if she turns out badly then I will take my family and go.

Flowingstar was confused. "Densefoot, you seem almost... submissive," she said. She shook her head, taken aback, and then a mvement caught her eye. A small motion behind Densefoot. She tried not to realize what it was.
Flowingstar nodded to the queen and her offspring. "Thank you, Densefoot; kits. I hope that I do not give you cause to leave." Then she turned toward her den.
